Sir Menzies Campbell (pronounced Sir Ming-ees Campbell), the head of the Liberal Democrats, my political party, has resigned. It’s a huge blow to the party in terms of honour, but given the dip in the polls, it’s probably a good thing. I’m hoping that either Nick Clegg or David Laws replaces him, bringing in fresh blood, as so to speak.

Just for the record, our Conservative party is to the left of the US Democrat party. Labour, the ruling party, is to the left of the Conservatives. The Liberal Democrats are to the left of that.

So yeah. I’m pretty liberal.
